Bryan and Ashley are getting married this Saturday!
They also wanted to have some engagement photos to give to their family as gifts, so we went out on a hot afternoon two weekends ago. Much to our surprise, there was bright green grass and yellow wild mustard growing all around. Even besides the photos, we had fun tromping around the hillside!
Bryan and Ashley, I feel like we’ve been friends for years. I can’t wait for your wedding in just a few short days!
One thing I love about photographing people is capturing the parts of their personality that makes them them. One way I’ve tried to do that with my engagement photos is to have them come up with a date idea and then turn it into a photoshoot.
Brian and Kristi had a lot of fun with that idea, and incorporated a bunch of things that are special to them: hiking, taking photos of themselves, even the way they held hands.
I also made a change in the way I prep my photos for the web, so these should look brighter and more colorful in your browser. Can you see a difference?
Enjoy!
Thanks so much for a great shoot, you guys! You were a ton of fun to be around. I can’t wait for your wedding!
Here it is, my last post as a single guy. I’m getting married tomorrow!!!
I’m also posting more photos than usual, because A. I’m unbelievably happy, and B. These photos are really fun! I usually only post about 15 – but what do you viewers think? Do you want more photos from each shoot? Leave a comment and let me know!
Nicholas and Krista got engaged at the Santa Barbara Mission, so we did their engagement photos there too. It was a stunning March day!
Nicholas and Krista, thank you so much for letting me shoot your engagement photos! I hope your move to Oregon went well, and I really look forward to your wedding in a few short months!
