I’m off to do another international wedding, this time in Brisbane, Australia! My friend Liz from Australia and my friend Lyle from South Africa had a crazy idea: why not fly me down under to photograph their wedding? Well, they certainly know how to persuade me… I leave the day after Christmas.
If you urgently need to get in touch with me or would like me to bring back a kookaburra, you can always reach me by email. Otherwise, I’ll be back in early January, with all kinds of fun photos and stories from the other side of the world!
And no matter where you’re going to be spending yours, have a most merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
Joe and Michelle braved a long drive, uncharacteristically winter cold, and a really tight schedule to meet me for their engagement photos, but we had a great time. They were the kindest couple: I’ve never had a client ask me how they could pray for me before! They love the Lord, and their joy is very apparent…
Joe and Michelle, thanks so much for asking me to do your photography, and for showing me so much love. I can’t wait for your wedding (in less than a month- wow!)
On my way home from Malawi, I got stranded in Ethiopia for a day. There are a few things I would have done differently if I were to do it again: 1. I’d bring Rachel, 2. I wouldn’t eat the onion salad, and 3. I would have brought Lonely Planet with me. But overall, it was pretty incredible, even for a day, and now I have a better idea of what to do if I go again.
The Haile Selassie Church:
I had to ask this gentleman’s boss for permission to shoot his portrait. Completely worth it.
